Dillon Dobson
Founding Attorney
Dillon earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona's James E. Rogers College of Law with honors and a certificate in Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy in 2022 and his Masters of Professional Studies in 2023. He is a San Diego-based member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, descendant of Jewish immigrants, and father of three. Dillon works to honor his ancestors through a career of dedicated service of those most in need and is committed to providing his clients with excellent service characterized by passion, class, and ingenuity.
Before founding Dobson Justice, Dillon honed his skills in litigation, negotiation, advocacy, and policy development by working for leading law firms, governments, and businesses. Moreover, Dillon is a black belt in Taekwondo with numerous national and international championships under his belt so he is steeped in a tradition of fighting and excellence.
His commitment to justice is not just a professional pursuit but one that is rooted in his heritage. Dillon is driven by a deep-seated desire to achieve meaningful and lasting justice through the empowerment of communities and individuals. He has successfully asserted the rights of tenants under the tenant protection act, secured millions for tribal affordable housing development in California, and wiped out tens of thousands in rental debt for his clients, and gotten clients paid even when the deck was stacked against them.
Dillon's expertise in Federal Indian Law is complemented by his practical experience working with tribal governments and organizations. He has advised on a range of issues, from economic development and housing, to cultural preservation and sovereignty. His unique background allows him to approach complex legal challenges with a nuanced understanding and a creative, solutions-oriented mindset.
